It's never too early to start planning for Graduation and residence hall check-out at the end of the year. The Barnard ceremony will be held on Monday, May 17, and the Columbia ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 18.
The residence hall check-out deadline for graduating seniors will be
5pm on Wednesday, May 19. Extensions are not possible, due to the residence halls being used for Summer & Conference housing.
Students who wish to stay later than 5pm on Wednesday, May 19, may sign up for Summer Housing (application information will be distributed later this month). Please note this would likely require relocation to another room for a summer assignment.
Student who wish to request an extension for observance of
Shavuot should contact Residential Life & Housing as soon as possible. Please note that students who receive an extension will be required to move on Friday morning, May 14, to a temporary double room (along with other students in interim housing) in order to facilitate cleaning of the residence halls for Summer & Conference Housing. The cost of the extension will be $100 per night.
If you are planning on graduating later than this May (or summer), we encourage you to update your graduation date with the Registrar's Office as soon as possible. If you are planning on continuing through the Fall 2010 semester (and/or longer) and wish to live on campus, please be in touch with Residential Life & Housing in order to request eligibility to participate in the Spring Room Selection process.
